Browse the built-in drills, search quickly, save favourites, and open any drill to see setup and scoring.

Statistics starts empty on purpose

Statistics are created from completed activities, with premium Season Highlights adding a broader year-to-date view.

  • Completed activities appear below the charts.
  • Season Highlights helps show longer-term progress once enough activity exists.

Use Planning for your week

Planning helps shape a reusable week, while Advanced Planning supports richer scheduled golf work.

  • Tap a day or the plus button to add a session.
  • Simple planning is useful for a basic weekly rhythm.
  • Advanced Planning is for more detailed week and day planning.

Designer is for your own drills

Create custom activities when the built-in catalog does not match how you train.

  • You can start with only the fields you actually need.

Settings personalizes the app

Set handicap, ambition, units, theme, notifications, and review Premium access. Help and this walkthrough can always be reopened later.

Browse and filter

  • Search looks at activity title and purpose text.
  • Quick filters for HCP and Favourites live under the search field.
  • Use the Filters sheet to limit by source and activity type.

Log a session

  • Open an activity and use Complete Activity to log time and balls.
  • Score and ball contacts only appear when relevant for that activity.
  • You can edit or delete a log entry from Statistics.

Statistics

  • This Week shows progress toward weekly ambition.
  • Charts show recent trends for time, balls, and discipline scores.
  • Logs are grouped by week for faster review.
  • Season Highlights adds a premium year-to-date statistics surface.

Planning

  • Use Planning to build a reusable standard week for golf practice.
  • Planned minutes are compared to weekly ambition.
  • Advanced Planning supports richer week and day planning when you need more detail.

Premium

  • Premium features are offered through Apple App Store subscriptions.
  • The app shows current monthly and yearly options before confirmation.
  • Use Restore Purchases if Premium access is missing after reinstalling or changing device.

Notifications

Why are there no activities showing?

Your filters or search text may be too narrow. Clear filters, reset the Filters sheet, or remove the search text to see the full catalog.

Where can I download ABS Golf Academy?

ABS Golf Academy is available from the App Store as a free iPhone app. Use the App Store links on this site or search for ABS Golf Academy in the App Store.

How do I log a completed activity?

Open an activity and use Complete Activity to enter time, ball contacts, and score if available.

How do I edit or delete a logged activity?

Go to Statistics, swipe a log row for Edit or Delete, or open the log to edit and save.

Why are Score or Ball Contacts missing?

Those fields only appear for activity types where they are relevant or required.

How do favourites work?

Tap the star on an activity. Use the Favourites filter to show only starred items.

Can I create custom activities?

Yes. Use the Designer tab to create activities that appear alongside the built-in catalog.

What does Planning save?

Planning saves reusable week structure so you can compare planned minutes to your ambition and return to the same rhythm later. Advanced Planning adds richer week and day planning for more detailed scheduled golf work.

What is Premium?

Premium is the paid Academy subscription layer handled through the App Store. The app shows the current subscription options and Apple purchase sheet before you confirm anything.

What are Season Highlights or YTD highlights?

Season Highlights is a premium statistics view for broader year-to-date progress. It becomes more useful as you log more completed activities over time.

How do I restore Premium access?

Use the restore option in the app if you have already subscribed through Apple but Premium access is not showing. Purchases and renewals are managed through your Apple ID.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Check that notifications are enabled in Settings and allowed in your device system settings.

Where is my data stored?

Data is stored on this device. If cloud sync is enabled, some data may sync across devices.
