ABS Golf Performance
This page explains how ABS Golf Performance handles course data, rounds, scorecards, confirmed positions, temporary Round Trail data, performance reports, app settings, and support communication.
App Store privacy summary
ABS Golf Performance does not send user data to an ABS Golf backend automatically. Data is stored on the device, while supported iCloud sync uses the user’s own private Apple iCloud storage. Raw Round Trail points are temporary, remain local, and are deleted automatically. User-initiated support emails and report sharing happen only when the user chooses to send or share information.
ABS Golf Performance is an iOS golf performance app for managing courses and tees, registering rounds and scorecards, calculating handicap-related round context, reviewing performance summaries, and previewing reports. Premium users can also confirm stroke and pin positions, use optional location tools, and review calculated Club Distances.
The app may store courses, tees, hole data, scorecards, rounds, confirmed stroke and pin positions, handicap settings, target profiles, app settings, report preferences, and performance summaries. This data is used to make the app work and is stored locally on your device.
Location permission is requested only when you choose to record a position or activate Round Trail. At Tee, At My Ball, and At Pin positions are confirmed by you and saved as part of the round. A position placed manually on the map is approximate.
Round Trail is optional and starts only when you actively enable it. It is a temporary aid for manual stroke placement and never creates confirmed ball positions automatically. Tracking stops no later than five hours after it starts. Raw trail points are stored only on the device and are automatically deleted after seven days.
If iCloud is available and enabled, app settings may sync through iCloud Key-Value Store, and courses and rounds may sync through private CloudKit records in your own Apple iCloud account. Confirmed stroke and pin positions are part of a round and can sync with it. Raw Round Trail points remain local to the device and do not sync. ABS Golf does not receive this data automatically.
Reports can be previewed and shared through iOS share or mail flows only when you choose to share them. Support or issue reports are also user-initiated. If you contact support, we use the information you send only to respond and handle support or feedback.
ABS Golf does not automatically collect your rounds, courses, tees, handicap values, scorecards, confirmed positions, raw Round Trail points, performance summaries, reports, or app settings. The app does not require an ABS Golf account.
The app does not use tracking, advertising, analytics, third-party tracking SDKs, or third-party analytics SDKs. Location data is not used for advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking. No data is sold, shared with data brokers, or used to track you across apps or websites.
Scorecard scanning with OCR and advanced automated course lookup are future directions and are not described as current features. This policy will be reviewed before any future feature changes how personal data is handled.
This policy will be updated if ABS Golf Performance changes how it stores, syncs, shares, or processes data. The latest version will be available on this page.
